Welcome to Poynton Tennis Club (PTC)

Poynton Tennis Club is part of Poynton Sports Club, situated close to the heart of the village, on the A523 between Hazel Grove and Macclesfield.

We have four astroturf courts, a new hard court which opened in 2009, and a shale court.

The standard at PTC is mixed, so there's no need to feel daunted if you're new to the game, or simply haven't played for a while.

More experienced players will find plenty of challenges too! In addition to the internal monthly American Tournaments and annual club championships, we have a number of teams entered in both Summer and Winter Leagues, so there is plenty of opportunity for competitive play.

Congratulations to Rob & Cate Quick on the birth of their daughter Cerys Mia.

She was born on 19th Nov 2011 weighing 7lb 1oz, and is growing fast…

Rob tells me she’ll have a tennis racket in her hand before her first birthday!!

Rejuvenation work on the all weather courts started on Tuesday 10th January and is progressing well, but has been delayed slightly by recent frosts……watch this space!
