Mini Red friendly match v Prestbury away Sat 13th Nov 2010

Team: Maisy Mullin, Jasper Chance-Larsen, Oliver Graham and Lucas Harris.

This match was a friendly against Prestbury with all 4 players playing the other 4 players once, making the tie best of 16 matches in total.

Prestbury won 9-7. Jasper Chance-Larsen was the only player from both teams to win all 4 of their matches. Both clubs used players who have ratings of worth red 3 or red 4. This means they are relatively new to competition. A good time was had by all.

Mini Red Match: Away v Prestbury, Sun 6th Feb 2011

Team: Olivia Anderson, Jasper Chance-Larsen, Oliver Graham and Lucas Harris.

The last time we played Prestbury back in November we lost 9-7 so we were looking for revenge on Sunday morning! All the players turned up on time and played really well all the way through the morning.

After the first two rounds of matches it was very close and 4 all, but in the second half we came out on top with all players going home with at least one win. We won the match 10-6 overall. Well done everyone!

Mini Orange Match: Home v Prestbury, Sun 6th Feb 2011

Matt Mullin, Henry Stout, Josh Anderson and Natalya Smith.

This was the first time some players from both teams had played a match that involved doubles so everyone was quite nervous at the start, including the umpires!

Poynton got off to a great start winning all four of the first round of singles. A big mention should go to Natalya Smith who won her match playing at orange level for the first time and being the youngest player on both teams by some way! Poynton also won the second round of singles 3-1 and then took both doubles ties making it a Poynton win 9-1 overall. Well done everyone!

Winter 2011 Cheshire County Closed, Sun 26th March 2011

Natalya Smith and Olivia Anderson competed at the Winter 2011 Cheshire County Closed at the Wirral ITI on Sunday 26th March. Both girls were competing against some of the top talent in the county. The Poynton girls proved too strong for the rest of the field, with Olivia winning and Natalya finishing as runner up.

Natalya also qualified for the older age group, so in the afternoon competed in the mini orange event and finished with another runners up medal. Well done to both girls!

Successful week for Poynton junior

Natalya Smith has won the Mini Red and Mini Orange titles at the Grade 4 Prestbury Open.

This is another great achievement by Natalya, who went through both competitions without losing a match!
