Winter Tournament 2011/12

Tournament Rules

• Each couple will play all of the other couples within their own group.  The final will be between the winners of Groups A and B.

• Each match will be two sets with American scoring and a tie break at 5-5.

N.B. When a mixed couple is playing against two ladies, the mixed couple’s handicap can go as low as -40.

• The group winner will be the couple with the highest number of sets won. If there is a tie at the top of the group the couples involved will be asked to play a single set to decide the group winner (the number of games won will not be taken into account).

• The final will be best of three sets.

Results should be e-mailed to webmaster@poyntontennisclub.net to go on the website.

Group winners must be decided by the 26th of March 2012, one week before the final on March 31st 2012.  It is entirely up to you to organise your matches, there are no deadlines before the 26th of March.  

As previously, please endeavour to start Saturday afternoon matches at 1.00pm or earlier.

The courts are available 9.00am to 4.00pm during the week and all day Sunday subject to booking for tournaments or league matches.  Please check the website calendar for availability.
